1.8.2 Debugging the VPN Tunnel

Context
Debugging affects the performance of the system. So, after debugging, run the undo debugging
all command to disable it immediately.
When a VPN tunnel fault occurs, run the following debugging commands in the user view to
locate the fault.
For details about enabling debugging, refer to
Quidway S9300 Terabit Routing Switch Configuration Guide - Device Management. For the
description of the debugging commands, refer to the Quidway S9300 Terabit Routing Switch

Run the display ip vpn-instance verbose [ vpn-instance-name ] command to display the
tunnel policy applied to VPN instances.
Run the display ip routing-table vpn-instance [ destination-address ] verbose command
to display the tunnels used by the routes of VPN instances.
Run the display mpls l2vpn connection interface interface-type interface-number
command to view the tunnel used by the Kompella L2VPN VC.
Run the display mpls l2vc [ interface interface-type interface-number ] command to
display the tunnel used by the Martini L2VPN VC.
CAUTION
Run the debugging tunnel all [ interface interface-number ] command in the user view
to enable the debugging of tunnels.
Run the debugging tnlm { all | error | event } command in the user view to enable the
debugging of tunnel management.
