Changing the windshield wiper blades
Adjusting the wiper blades so that they
are vertical
On vehicles without KEYLESS-GO:
Turn the SmartKey to position 1 or 2 in the
X
ignition lock ( page 131).
Y
Set the windshield wiper to position °.
X
When the wiper arms have reached the verti-
X
cal position, turn the SmartKey to position 0
and remove it from the ignition lock.
Fold the wiper arm away from the windshield.

On vehicles with KEYLESS-GO:
Switch off the engine.
X
Remove your foot from the brake pedal.
X
Set the windshield wiper to the ° position.
X
Press the Start/Stop button repeatedly until
X
the windshield wiper starts.
When the wiper arms have reached the verti-
X
cal position, press the Start/Stop button.
Fold the wiper arm away from the windshield.

Removing the wiper blades
Hold on to the wiper arm with one hand. With
X
the other hand, turn wiper blade in direction
of arrow : away from the wiper arm as far as
it will go.
Slide catch ; in the direction of arrow =
X
until it engages in the removal position with a
noticeable click.
Windshield wipers
Remove the wiper blade in the direction of
X
arrow ? away from the wiper arm.
Installing the wiper blades
Insert the new wiper blade into the wiper arm
X
in the direction of arrow :.
Slide catch ; in the direction of arrow =
X
until it engages in the locking position with a
noticeable click.
Make sure that the wiper blade is seated cor-
X
rectly.
Fold the wiper arm back onto the windshield.
