b. Gently push the drive into the bay until the drive stops.
Step 6. Reinstall the drive bay filler panel that you removed earlier.
Step 7. If you are installing additional simple-swap hard disk drives, do so now.
Step 8. Turn on the peripheral devices and the server.

Removing the 2.5-inch hot-swap rear hard disk drive kit

Use this information to remove the 2.5-inch hot-swap rear hard disk drive kit.
To remove the 2.5-inch hot-swap rear hard disk drive kit, complete the following steps.
Step 1. Read the safety information that begins on "Safety" on page v and "Installation guidelines" on
page 116.
Step 2. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords.
Step 3. Remove the cover (see "Removing the cover" on page 119).
Step 4. Disconnect the mini-SAS HD (12Gb) and power cables from the 2.5-inch hot-swap hard disk
drive backplane and power connector.
