Synchronisation

Use ActiveSync for Windows XP or Windows
Mobile Device Centre for Windows Vista to
transfer files between your handset and your PC.
For example if the handset's memory becomes
full of photos or if you want to work on a document
you have started on your PC/laptop.
The software is on the Installation CD or
you can download the software from:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/
activesync/default.mspx
Install ActiveSync / Windows Mobile
Device Centre
1. Install ActiveSync/Windows Mobile Device
Centre on your PC as described on the
installation CD supplied. After Setup
completes, the Synchronisation Setup Wizard
automatically starts when you connect your
handset to the PC. The wizard will guide
you to create a synchronisation relationship
between your handset and your computer.
At subsequent ActivSync connections select
Cancel to be able to exchange files between
your handset and your PC via the Explore
function
Do NOT select Next.
Most of your local files and any removable
storage card can be accessed via the
My Mobile Device folder.

Comm Manager

The Comm Manager lets you enable
or disable handset features.
To open the Comm Manager
1. Select Wi-Fi icon
Manager to display the screen.
2. Scroll to highlight the option you want
and Select it. When disabled, there is an
orange cross in the box. When enabled
there is no orange cross. On some boxes you
will also be given a Settings option. Press
Settings to display the menu optiions.
The buttons are:
1. Select
to enable or disable the handset.
2. Select
to enable or disable Bluetooth.
3. Select
to enable or disable Wi-Fi. When
the box is highlighted, select Settings then
WLAN Settings to change your Wi-Fi settings.
4. Select
to switch between automatically
receiving Outlook emails as they arrive
or manually retrieving them. For more
information, see your HTC user manual.
