Using an External Flash (Optional)

Using the optional external flash AF540FGZ or AF360FGZ enables a
variety of flash modes, such as P-TTL auto flash mode, high-speed flash
sync mode, and wireless mode. See the chart below for details.

Camera Function
Red-eye reduction flash
Automatic flash discharge
After the flash is charged, the camera
automatically switches to the flash sync
speed.
Aperture is automatically set in e (Program)
mode and b (Shutter Priority) mode.
