Using a Smartphone as a Camera Remote Controller
(Shoot with phone)
This function lets you remotely shoot a snapshot or movie with the camera using a
smartphone. In addition to shooting snapshots and movies, you can also use a
smartphone to perform zoom and other operations, and to configure camera settings.
. Bluetooth Wireless Technology Connection
1.
Allow the camera to enter the sleep mode (page 17).
The camera will enter the sleep mode automatically if you do not perform any
operation for about 30 seconds after turning it on. The sleep mode is indicated
when the camera's operation lamp is slowly flashing green.

On the smartphone, start up the "EXILIM Connect" app.

On the smartphone, tap "Remote Capture".
4.
Compose the image on the smartphone's screen as you shoot.

manual (page 26).
. Cannot Connect with Bluetooth Wireless Technology
1.
On the camera, hold down [
off power.
2.
On the camera, while holding down [0] (Movie), hold down [
for more than one second.
The camera's wireless LAN connection lamp will flash blue.

For the smartphone's Wi-Fi settings, enter the camera's SSID and
password to establish a wireless LAN connection between the camera
and smartphone.
The camera SSID (which cannot be changed) and password (initial default) are
shown below.
• SSID: Refer to the separate "[Important] About the camera's SSID" sheet that
comes with the camera.
• Password: 00000000

On the smartphone, start up the "EXILIM Connect" app.
5.
Compose the image on the smartphone's screen as you shoot.
