Installing a blower assembly
Complete these steps to install a blower assembly.
1. Orient the blower assembly and slide it into the chassis, pushing firmly to
ensure that it is seated.
2. Verify that the power LED displays a green light.
3. Use the screwdriver or your fingers to tighten the captive screws.
There are two WWN cards located beneath the WWN bezel (logo plate). Use this
procedure to remove and replace the WWN cards. If IBM Support has determined
that a WWN card needs to be replaced, you need to power off the chassis, and
then both the WWN cards must be replaced as a matched pair.
Note: The World Wide Name (WWN) cards contain fully redundant circuits and
normally do not require installation. Two WWN cards are located beneath the
WWN bezel.
