Pen Support

The Stylistic ST4000 Tablet PC has an active digitizer, and employs the Microsoft Windows XP for Tablet PC as its
operating system. As such, the pen, on-screen keyboard, and handwriting recognition utilities are part of the tablet
PC operating system. It does not use third-party utilities for its input utilities.
To access the pen utilities, click on the "Change tablet or pen settings" icon in the system tray in the lower right of
the screen, or select Start --> Control Panel --> Tablet and Pen Settings. To open the on-screen keyboard, click the
Tablet PC Input Panel icon adjacent to the Start button.
The Stylistic ST4000P Tablet PC has a passive digitizer, and requires the following third-party utilities:
• My-T-Pen version 1.7.5F
My-T-Pen is used to create the on-screen keyboard for the ST4000P.
• PenOffice Ver. 2.3.1.
PenOffice is the handwriting recognition utility used by the ST4000P.
• Pen Configuration applet
The pen configuration applet allows you to modify the behavior of the pen.
To select the My-T-Pen and PenOffice utilities, click Start --> All Programs, and select My-T-Pen or PenOffice Tools
from the list of applications.
To access the Pen Configuration applet (developed by Fujitsu), click Start --> Control Panel --> Pen Configuration.
You can select the pen utilities "on the fly" using the pen configuration control panel applet.
To start PenOffice, click Start --> All Programs and select PenOffice 2.3 English Edition. (Note that this is separate
from PenOffice utilities.)

PC Card Support

The Stylistic ST4000 Tablet PC fully supports the PC Card standard release 3.0. System resources for PC Cards are
configured automatically by Windows XP and Windows 2000.
