Switch off your pruning shears and
disconnect the connecting cord:
before carrying out inspections,
adjustments or cleaning work
before performing repairs and
maintenance work
in the event of danger or in an
emergency
This avoids the risk of the cutting blade
closing unintentionally.
Furthermore, remove the
battery:
before leaving the power tool
unattended
before transporting, see section on
"Transporting"
before storing
Notes on Connecting Cord
Do not use the connecting cord to pull,
hang up or transport your cordless
pruning shears.
Do not operate the power tool with a
damaged connecting cord or plug.
Straighten a twisted connecting cord
before use.
Avoid chafing, pinching or tugging the
connecting cord – risk of damage.
Protect from heat, oil, pointed objects,
sharp edges and the blades.

Notes on Backpack
WARNING
If the backpack emits fumes, heats up,
smells or makes noises, remove it from
your back, disconnect the connecting
cord from the power tool and
immediately move a safe distance away.
Keep backpack away from combustible
materials.
Do not place the backpack on raised
surfaces or hang it up (e.g. on branches)
– it may fall down.
Never sit or stand on the backpack. Do
not stand objects on the backpack.

For emergencies: Practice quickly
opening the buckles on the waist belt (1)
and chest strap (2), loosening the
shoulder straps and setting down the
backpack. To avoid damage, do not
throw the backpack to the ground when
practicing.
Intended Use
The cordless pruning shears are
designed exclusively for pruning vines,
branches, shrubs and bushes. Typical
areas of application are fruit growing as
well as tending green spaces, gardens
and vineyards.
Do not use your power tool for any other
purpose because of the increased risk of
accidents and damage to the power tool
itself.
Never attempt to modify your power tool
in any way since this may increase the
risk of personal injury. STIHL excludes
all liability for personal injury and
damage to property caused while using
unauthorized parts or accessories.
Clothing and Equipment
Wear proper protective clothing and
equipment.
Clothing must be sturdy but allow
complete freedom of movement.
Avoid clothing that could get caught in
scrub or moving parts of the power tool.
Do not wear a scarf, necktie or jewelry.
Tie up and confine long hair (e.g. with a
hair net, cap, etc.).
Wear sturdy shoes with non-slip soles.
Wear heavy-duty work
gloves made of durable
material (e.g. leather).
