8.1 Can my HUAWEI MediaPad M1 8.0 function as a USB
host? Can it work with an external USB flash drive, mouse,
or printer?
Your HUAWEI MediaPad M1 8.0 can function as a USB host. You can connect it to a USB
flash drive, mouse, or keyboard using a USB On-The-Go (OTG) cable. However, it cannot be
connected to a printer.
8.2 How do I transfer files between my HUAWEI
MediaPad M1 8.0 and a PC?
You can connect your HUAWEI MediaPad M1 8.0 to a PC in Device file manager (MTP),
PC Suite (HiSuite), or USB flash drive mode and synchronize data between them.
When you connect your HUAWEI MediaPad M1 8.0 to the PC using a USB cable for the first
time and you are prompted to install a driver, follow the onscreen instructions to install it.
From the dialog displayed on your HUAWEI MediaPad M1 8.0, select one of the following
connection modes:

Device connection and data sharing
Some peripheral devices may require separate power supplies.
Device file manager (MTP): In this mode, you can access files on your HUAWEI
MediaPad M1 8.0 (including data in the internal storage and microSD card) by opening
your PC's new disk drive and transfer files between your HUAWEI MediaPad M1 8.0
and the PC. You can also open media files on your HUAWEI MediaPad M1 8.0 using
Windows Media Player.
If the PC runs Windows XP or earlier, you must first install Windows Media Player 11 to use MTP
mode.
PC Suite (HiSuite): In this mode, the PC starts HiSuite, with which you can transfer
files between your HUAWEI MediaPad M1 8.0 and the PC and install applications on
your HUAWEI MediaPad M1 8.0.
