Problem
Glassware is dull
and discoloured;
film cannot be wi-
ped off.
Tea or lipstick
stains have not
been completely re-
moved.
Plastic items are
discoloured.
There are rust stains
on cutlery.
Possible cause
The glassware is not dishwas-
her-proof. The surfaces are
affected.
The wash temperature of the
programme selected was too
low.
The bleaching effect of the
detergent used is too low.
Natural dyes e.g. from car-
rots, tomatoes or ketchup may
be the cause. The amount of
detergent used or its blea-
ching effect was not sufficient
to deal with natural dyes.
The salt reservoir cap has not
been screwed on correctly.
The affected items are not
corrosion resistant.
The I COLD programme
was not run after adding dish-
washer salt. Traces of salt
have got into the wash cycle.
