Working with Microsoft Office Files

Your NOOK Color can open Microsoft Office files compatible with Office 2003 and Office 2007. Files are readable,
not editable. Your NOOK Color can read files in standard Office formats. For a complete list, see "My Files".

Playing Music

You can play music, podcasts, and other audio content on your NOOK Color, even while your doing other activities
on tour NOOK Color such as reading a book. Your NOOK Color features two music players:
Music - a music player that plays MP3s and other standard audio formats
Pandora® Internet Radio - a music-streaming service that lets you create "channels" of music based on songs
or artists that you like
NOTE: Because Pandora streams music from the Internet, it requires a Wi-Fi connection to the Internet.
Playing Your Own Audio Files
Transferring Files to Your NOOK Color
To transfer audio files onto your NOOK Color, connect your NOOK Color to your personal computer, using the
custom microUSB cable provided with your NOOK Color.
NOTE: Use only the microUSB cable provided with your NOOK Color. Using any other cable might damage
your NOOK Color.
When you connect your NOOK Color to your personal computer, your NOOK Color will appear as a new disk
drive called "MyNOOKcolor" on your personal computer. Drag the files you want to transfer onto the "MyNOOK-
color" drive.
To organize the files, open the media drive. You'll see several folders on your NOOK Color. Move your personal files
in the My Files folder. Within the folder, you can sort files into these folders:
Books
Documents
Magazines
Music
Newspapers
Photos
Wallpapers
You can put music files such as MP3 files in the Music folder.
When you have finished arranging files, eject the "MyNOOKColor" drive from your personal computer to unmount
the NOOK Color file system. Disconnect the microUSB cable.
Playing an Audio File from the Library
To play an audio file from the Library, do this:
1.
Tap the My Files icon in the Media Bar.
2.
Navigate through the folders in your My Files area to find the Music folder with audio files.
