Sorting and Viewing Newspapers
You can sort newspapers by:
Most Recent
Title
You can view newspapers in these arrangements:
a grid
shelves (long, scrollable rows)
a detailed list, which includes front pages and short descriptions
a list, which includes just covers, titles, and publication dates
Opening Books, Magazines, and Newspapers
You can tap on any cover you see to open it.
If you tap on a book or periodical that you have already downloaded, the book opens. (If you don't see a Download
banner on the book, it has already fully downloaded to your NOOK Color.)
If you tap on a book with a Download banner, your NOOK Color begins downloading the book. A progress bar on
the book's cover indicates how much of the book has been downloaded.
NOTE: When you buy a book or periodical, it becomes available to your NOOK Color, as well as to any
Barnes & Noble eReader applications installed on your smartphone, tablet, or personal computer.
Book Covers
Badges on the cover of a book indicate whether the content is the complete book or only a sample.
Badges can also indicate that a book or periodical has only been partially downloaded. Tap on the cover to resume
downloading the content.
Magazines
The Library shows the cover of each magazine you have bought, along with the date of the magazine's issue.
Newspapers
The Library shows the front page of each newspaper you have bought, along with the headline and opening copy of
the main story.
Badges on Content
Your NOOK Color displays the following badges on books and periodicals:
New: This is a new item that has been downloaded to your NOOK Color and is now ready for reading.
Sample: This is a free sample of a book, magazine, or newspaper.
