Opening an Item on the Home Screen or the Daily Shelf
To open a book, magazine, newspaper, or app on the Home Screen or the Daily Shelf, tap on its cover.
You can also open a book or periodical by pressing and holding on its cover to open a pop-up menu, and then select-
ing the menu choice Read.

Returning to the Home Screen

You can return to the Home Screen at any time by pressing the Home button (the silver button in the shape of the
NOOK logo) on the lower front of your NOOK Color.
NOTE: If you're in the middle of an activity such as playing a game or viewing a Kids Picture Book that uses the
entire screen, you'll need to press the Home button twice to return to the Home Screen. The first time
you press the Home button, your NOOK Color exits full-screen mode, and the second time it returns
you to the Home Screen.
