Open the throlle only when the chain
brake is off. Increased engine speeds
with the chain brake on (saw chain is
stationary) lead to damage to the
shortblock and chain drive (clutch, chain
brake).

At very low outside temperatures
let the engine warm up briefly with

the throttle slightly open

Switch off engine
Move the Master Control lever to the

stop position 0
When the fuel tank has run completely
empty and then been refueled
Press the decompression valve

Pull the starter rope several times to

prime the fuel line
Restart the engine

If the engine does not start
The Master Control lever was not
returned to its "warm start" position n in
time when the engine turned over the
first time and has now flooded.
Move the Master Control lever to 0

Turn the knob above the rear handle
N
to the left – slot vertical
Pull off the carburetor box cover
N
toward the rear

Lift off the prefilter (1)

Unplug spark plug boot (2)

Unscrew and dry spark plug
N
Crank the engine several times with
N
the starter – to clear the combustion
chamber
Screw in the spark plug and press
N
on the spark plug boot firmly –
reassemble parts
Set the Master Control lever to
N
warm start n – even if the engine is
cold
Press the decompression valve
N
Restart the engine
