When using STIHL PolyCut 40-3
mowing head
N Slide the skirt into the upper guide
slot (5) for the PolyCut 40-3.
Limit stops

1 Limit stop for circular saw
blades 225
2 Limit stop for circular saw
blades 250
Mounting the limit stop
N First remove the grass shield (if
fitted).
N
Place the limit stop (1) or (2) in
position.
N Insert the screws with washers and
tighten them down firmly.

Blocking the Drive Shaft

Insert the stop pin (1) in the bore (2)
in the gearhead as far as stop, apply
slight pressure.
N Rotate the shaft until the stop pin
slips into position.
Removing the Mounting Hardware

N Blocking the Drive Shaft

Use the combination wrench (1) to
loosen and remove the nut (2)
clockwise.
N Remove the rider plate (3) and
thrust washer (4).
