Data is normally sent out (polled) every 2½ minutes. The automatic polling function
cannot be modified but the system can be manually polled as follows:
Enter the following to enable manual polling mode: nRMR1
Enter the following to receive the latest reading: nRMR?
To return to automatic polling mode enter the following: nRMR0
Refer to the Signal Output Manual (Cat. No. 5125018) to configure up to two relays and
one 4–20 mA outputs. The relays and recorder output mirror the outputs of the relays and
recorders internal to the CL17.
Measurement and alarm data from the CL17 Analyzer can be converted to a Modbus
protocol using the Hach MOD I/O Module. The data can then be polled by any Modbus
Master Device (PLC/DCS) including the Hach OPC server/OPC data logger. Refer to the
MOD I/O Module Manual for additional information.
The CL17 Analyzer has the following setup information for the MOD I/O Module:
