Windows XP users

■ Installing the Korg USB-MIDI Driver

Administrator privilege is required to install or uninstall the driver on Win-
dows XP. For information, consult your system administrator.
Please set Windows XP so that it will allow you to install the driver even though
the driver does not have a digital signature. For information, refer to page 10,
"Allowing installation of an unsigned driver."
The "Korg USB MIDI Driver for Windows XP" is for Windows XP platforms
only. This driver cannot be used with Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me,
or Windows 2000.
You must install the driver for each USB port. If you want to connect the
KONTROL49 to a USB port that is different than the one for which you installed
KORG USB-MIDI Driver for Windows XP, you'll need to perform the same pro-
cedure to reinstall KORG USB-MIDI Driver for Windows XP again.

Use a USB cable to connect the KONTROL49 to your computer, and turn on the
power of the KONTROL49.
Windows will detect the connection with the KONTROL49.

Then the default driver will be installed.

From the taskbar, choose [Start] ➞ [All Programs] ➞ [KORG] ➞ [USB MIDI
EzSetup] to start up the setup utility.
The list in the upper part of the window shows the KORG USB-MIDI devices
that are currently connected to your PC. The lower area shows the software
version of the KORG USB-MIDI Driver you are about to install.
From the list, choose the KORG USB-MIDI device that is currently connected to
your PC, and click [Install].
Driver installation will begin.
