STITCHES
1. Select stitch 44 from the Group 2-B stitches to
get the bar tack stitch. Change the presser foot
to the buttonhole foot.
2. Extend the button guide plate and set to the
desire bartack length. Adjust the stitch width
and stitch length to personalize the stitches.
3. Position the fabric so that the needle is 2mm
(1/16 inch) in front of the pocket opening, and
then lower the presser foot lever.
4. Pass the upper thread down through the hole in
the presser foot. Pull down the buttonhole lever
and position behind the bracket on the
buttonhole foot. Gently hold the end of the
upper thread in your left hand, and start sewing.
5. Sewing procedure for bar tack is illustrated.
6. This is an example of sewn bar tacks at pocket
corners.
