TROUBLE SHOOTING
When connected to a computer (PC)
Symptom
An afterimage remains on the
screen.
The display colors are not
correct.
Size or position of screen not
changing.
Characters jittering even
after adjustment.
Picture too dark.
Harsh character contours.
Button operation not possible.
No sound, or sound distorted.
Picture brightness changes
when menu is displayed.
• If a picture is displayed too long on a LC-display, this
causes temporary burn-in. Turn off the power supply and
let the unit rest for about one day.
• Connect the signal cable correctly.
• Check the video output mode of the computer and select
a mode within the operational range of the monitor. (For
details, refer to the instruction manual of the computer.)
• If screen resolution is XGA (1024
PHASE so that characters are displayed without
flickering.
• Lower the vertical frequency of the video signal and move
the clock frequency into the predetermined range (80
MHz). (For details, refer to the instruction manual of the
computer.)
• Check the video level from the computer and set the
monitor video level accordingly.
• Adjust backlight, contrast, and brightness.
• Set sharpness (picture quality) to mode 1.
• Press only one button at a time.
• Connect the audio cable correctly.
• Increase volume using the VOL buttons (+, -).
• Deactivate muting by pressing MUTE.
• Control the volume at the computer. (For details, refer to
the instruction manual of the computer.)
• This effect is due to the artificial LC-display intelligence
and does not represent a malfunction.
Please check the setting for artificial LC-display
intelligence.
