Recording time for E-240 cassettes
SP - Normal mode: approx. 4 hours
LP - Long-Play mode: approx.
EP - Extra-Long-Play mode: approx. 12 hours
If you value a high-quality picture, select
Recording television programmes
Insert a video cassette with an intact write-protection tab.
Use CH
Press REC MODE to select the tape speed.
With each press of the button, the display switches from: SP
Press REC to start the recording.

Press STOP
Press PAUSE
SP.
If the recording is paused for more than 5 minutes, the unit switches to stop mode. If you
press the button again, the recording will start again.
During the recording, you can playback or record to discs.
The recording to VHS will not be compromised.
Even with an S-VHS video cassette, you cannot perform recordings in the S-VHS system with
this unit. The recording takes place in the normal VHS system.
Displaying the approximate time remaining on the cassette
Press FUNCTIONS.
Select the desired tape length in the VHS FUNCTIONS menu.
Press STATUS several times until the time remaining on the tape appears in the unit
display. With each press of the button, the display changes as follows:

Depending on the video cassette used, the time remaining on the video cassette may not be
displayed correctly.
Setting a time for the end of the recording
During the recording, press
of the unit changes:
If you press STOP , the recording will be stopped and the time setting will be deleted.
This is not possible for TIMER-controlled recordings or for recordings via an external device.
If the tape speed is changed during the recording, a brief image distortion will appear at that
spot.
