Shuttle search (reverse and fast-forward) playback
Press the [FF] button or [REW] button in the Play mode to engage the Fast-Forward Shuttle Search mode or Reverse Shuttle
Search mode.
5 Fast-forward shuttle search
Press the [FF] button during play.
The fast-forward search indicator is shown
on the display and the Fast-Forward Shuttle
Search mode is engaged.
• The operation varies depending on how the [FF] or [REW] button is pressed. Refer to the table below for details.

Press the [REW] button during play.
• Latch: Even if the button is released, shuttle search
continues.

Tape recorded in the 6H (EP) mode or
the HDR Timelapse mode
21 times the 6H (EP) speed (latch).
Press the [PLAY] button to restore the
normal play mode.
13 times the 6H (EP) speed.
Release the button to restore the normal
play mode.
