Installing the Handle

Parts needed for this procedure:
4 Bolt (1/2 x 1-1/2 inches)

Curved washer
2 Spacer
4 Locknut (1/2 inch)
Procedure
1. Remove the two screws that hold the back cover in
place and remove the back cover (Figure 3).
Description
Bolt (1/2 x 1-1/2 inches)
Curved washer
Spacer
Locknut (1/2 inch)
SAE 30 detergent oil with an API service
classification of SH, SJ, SL, or higher
(not supplied with the mower).
No parts required

Install the handle.

Fill the engine with oil.

Install the mulch plug or grass bag.
2. Attach the handle to the mower housing (Figure 4)
using the 4 bolts, 4 locknuts, 2 spacers, and 2 curved
washers in the loose parts bag.

Note: You can set the handle height in one of two
positions (Figure 5). Set the handle to a height that is
comfortable for you.
