Toro designed and built your lawn mower for trouble-free operation. Check the following components and items carefully.
If a problem continues, see your Authorized Service Dealer.
PROBLEM
Engine will not start
Engine starts hard or loses power

CORRECTIVE ACTION
1. Fill the fuel tank with fresh gasoline.
2. Press the primer three times.
3. Spark plug
Connect the spark plug wire.
Clean the spark plug, check the spark plug gap, and replace
the spark plug if it is damaged.
1. Drain and fill the fuel tank with fresh gasoline.
2. Clean the gasoline cap vent hole.
3. Clean the air filter.
4. Clean the lawn mower discharge chute.
5. Clean the underside of the lawn mower deck.
6. Clean the spark plug, check the spark plug gap, and replace
the spark plug if it is damaged.
7. Check the engine oil.
1. Connect the spark plug wire.
2. Clean the spark plug, check the spark plug gap, and replace
the spark plug if it is damaged.
3. Clean the air filter.
1. Balance the blade.
2. Tighten the blade mounting nut.
3. Clean the lawn mower discharge chute.
4. Clean the underside of the lawn mower deck.
5. Tighten the engine mounting bolts.
1. Place all four wheels at the same height.
2. Sharpen and balance the blade.
3. Change the mowing pattern.
4. Clean the underside of lawn mower deck.
1. Raise the cutting height.
2. Allow the grass to dry before mowing.
3. Clean the underside of lawn mower deck.
1. Adjust the self-propel drive cable.
2. Clean the debris under the belt cover.
