Setup for the initial environment
1. Connect with the same method as the previous 'Gemstar Test Configuration connection method'.
2. Copy 'fact.exe' to the appropriate location of the PC for testing Glink and IR.
Test method
1. Set Factory Test to 'ON' and Duplex to 'Full' of the DIP switch on the Gemstar Glink-to-PC Board.
2. Connect the RF signal containing Gemstar UPG Data to ANT IN of LST-3410A or play the VCR containing
the tape for loop and connect its RF output to ANT IN of LST-3410A.
3. Tune LST-3410A to the channel with the RF signal containing Gemstar Data.
4. Execute 'fact.exe' at the DOS prompt for testing Glink and IR, or double click it at the Windows. Then, the
program will be executed for testing Glink and IR at the COM1 port of the PC.
This will be continued until the COM1 window is closed by executing it once only.
