When the display indicates "CHEC" in
the odometer display area check the
following items;
• Make sure that the engine stop
switch is in the "" position.
• Make sure that the transmission is
in neutral or the side stand is fully
up.
If the display still indicates "CHEC"
after checking the above items,
inspect the ignition fuse and the con-
nection of the lead wire couplers.
FUEL INDICATOR LIGHT "" 8
This indicator light comes on for 3
seconds when the ignition switch is
turned to the "ON" position, then the
indicator light should go out if there is
enough fuel in the tank. When the fuel
in the fuel tank drops below approxi-
mately 4.0 liters (1.1/0.9 US/lmp. gal),
this indicator blinks. When the fuel in
the fuel tank drops below approxi-
mately 1.5 liters (0.4/0.3 US/lmp. gal),
this indicator light comes on and
remains on.
NOTE: When the fuel indicator light
comes on, you should add fuel to the
fuel tank at the first opportunity to
avoid running out of fuel.
