    9.2 Using a NTP Server to set your System Time A NTP (Network Time Protocol) server syncs your system time with an online time server. Lorex provides a free NTP service that allows your DVR to automatically update the time for Daylight Savings Time.

    Recording By default, the system is set to immediately record video from connected cameras in Con- tinuous Recording Mode. • Recording—Continuous: Normal, continuous recording. You can set the system to stop recording once the hard drive is full, or to continually record by overwriting previously recorded data.

    Playback If more than four channels are selected, one bar is shown that combines all the selected channels. This means that video available on any selected channel will be shown in the bar. 11.1.3 Using Zoom in Playback Mode You can use Zoom in Playback Mode.     Managing Passwords NOTE By default, the system user name is admin and the password is 000000. Passwords are enabled by de- fault and are required to access the Main Menu. The password is required to log into the system remotely using a computer or mobile device. You will be prompted to create a custom password after you connect for the first time.

    • P2P (peer-to-peer) indicates that the video is streaming directly from the DVR to the computer running the Client Software. • RLY (relay) indicates that the video is streaming through a Lorex video server. While relay mode is activated, the system will disconnect after 10 minutes of inactivity. Re- lay mode is only used when a direct connection cannot be made between the DVR and computer.
