7. Install the battery pack. See "Replacing the battery pack" on page 59.
8. Turn over the computer and connect the ac power adapter and all cables.

Installing or replacing the wireless WAN card

Before you start, print these instructions. Read the Important safety information first. See "Important
safety information" on page vi.
DANGER
Electric current from power, telephone, and communication cables is hazardous. To avoid shock
hazard, disconnect the cables before opening the cover of this slot.
Attention: Before handling a card, touch a metal table or a grounded metal object. This action reduces any
static electricity from your body. Static electricity could damage the card.
The wireless WAN card is available only available on some models. To install or replace the wireless WAN
card, do the following:
1. Turn off the computer, then disconnect the ac power adapter and all cables from the computer.
2. Remove the battery pack. See "Replacing the battery pack" on page 59.
