    ASSEMBLY AND OPERATING INSTALLING A BATTERY IN THE CORDLESS CIRCULAR SAW Remove the discharged battery (1) from the tool by pressing the battery release button (2) on the side of the tool (Fig. 1). Pull the battery out of the tool (3). Slide the fully charged battery into the matching cavity in the tool where the discharged battery has been removed.

Continue turning the blade wrench clockwise to remove the blade screw and the large washer (4). NOTE: The blade screw has a left-handed thread and must be turned clockwise to be removed.

    ASSEMBLY AND OPERATING SETTING THE CUTTING DEPTH The cutting depth of the blade should be set to suit the thickness of the material being cut. The cutting depth should be approximately 1/8" (3 mm) greater than the thickness of the material being cut. Pull the depth adjustment lever (1) out of its storage slot (2) (Fig.

    ASSEMBLY AND OPERATING Setting the 0° stop Before making angle cuts, the 0° stop must be adjusted. Set sole plate angle at 0° and lock. Make a test cut. Check the cutting angle with a carpenter’s square. If the cut is not square, readjust the sole plate angle until it is square.

    ASSEMBLY AND OPERATING LASER SWITCH This saw is equipped with a laser guidance system for more precise cutting. To turn the laser ON, press the laser switch (1) once (Fig. 10). To turn the laser OFF, press the laser switch again. DANGER: Never allow the laser beam to shine into a person’s eyes.

Clearly mark the workpiece to locate the position of the cut. Hold a smaller workpiece with a vise. Clamp a larger workpiece to a workbench or table.
