    Use the treadmill only as described. Keep the treadmill indoors, away from mois- ture and dust. Do not put the treadmill garage or covered patio, or near water. Place the treadmill on a level surface, with at least 8 ft. (2.4 m) of clearance ft.

    BEFORE YOU BEGIN Thank you for selecting the revolutionary NordicTrack ® COMMERCIAL 1750 treadmill. The COMMERCIAL 1750 treadmill offers an impressive selection of fea- tures designed to make your workouts at home more enjoyable and effective. And when you're not exercis- ing, the unique treadmill can be folded up, requiring less than half the floor space of other treadmills.

    During shipping, some lubricant may be transferred to the top of the walking belt or the shipping carton. This is normal and does not affect treadmill performance. If there is lubri- cant on top of the walking belt, simply wipe off the lubricant with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
  • Page 7 Make sure that the power cord is unplugged. Place a piece of cardboard below the rear of the Frame (56) to protect the floor or carpet. Attach the Left Wheel Cap (96) to the Base (97) with two #8 x 3/4" Screws (1). Attach the Right Wheel Cap (not shown) to the right side of the Base (97) in the same way.

The connectors should slide together easily and snap into place. If they do not, turn one connector and try again. IF YOU DO NOT CONNECT THE CON- NECTORS PROPERLY, THE CONSOLE MAY BECOME DAMAGED WHEN YOU TURN ON THE POWER.

Then, press the 0 percent incline button. When the Frame (56) stops moving, remove the key from the console and unplug the power cord.

    If heart rate readings do not appear until you begin perspiring, rewet the electrode areas. As you walk or run on the treadmill, position your- self near the center of the walking belt. For the console must be within arm's length of the console.

If the symbol is green, your treadmill is connected to your wire- less network and you have logged in to www.iFit.com. If the symbol does not appear, your treadmill is not connected to your wireless network.
  • Page 19 HOW TO USE A SET-A-GOAL WORKOUT Insert the key into the console. See step 1 on page 16. Select the start menu. See step 2 on page 16. Select a set-a-goal workout. To select a set-a-goal workout, press the Workouts button on the screen.
  • Page 20 The treadmill will then automati- cally adjust to the speed and/or incline settings for the next segment.
  • Page 21 To continue the workout, press the Resume button or the Start button. The walking belt will begin to move at 1 mph. When the next segment of the workout begins, the treadmill will automatically ad- just to the speed and incline settings for the next segment.
  • Page 22 HOW TO USE THE IFIT LIVE MODE The iFit Live mode enables the treadmill to communi- cate with your wireless network. With the iFit Live mode, you can download personalized workouts, cre- ate your own workouts, track your workout results, and access many other features.
  • Page 23 HOW TO USE THE SETTINGS MODE The console features a settings mode that allows you to connect your treadmill to your own wireless network and to log in to your iFit Live account. The settings mode also allows you to select a display language, to select the unit of measurement, and to turn on and turn off the display demo mode.
  • Page 24 Turn on or turn off the display demo mode. The console features a display demo mode, de- signed to be used if the treadmill is displayed in a store. While the demo mode is turned on, the con- sole will function normally when you plug in the power cord, press the power switch into the reset position, and insert the key into the console.
  • Page 25 If the console is connected to the controller of the treadmill, the controller dot will be green. If it is not, the dot will be red. If it is attempting to connect, the dot will be yellow.
  • Page 26 When the update is complete, the words PLEASE CYCLE POWER will appear in the grey box. Press the power switch on the treadmill frame into the off position (see page 5). Wait for several seconds, and then press the power switch into the reset position.
  • Page 27 HOW TO USE THE STEREO SOUND SYSTEM To play music or audio books through the console's speakers, you must connect your MP3 player, CD player, or other personal audio player to the console. Locate the audio wire. Plug one end into the audio jack in the tray below the Live Workouts button.

    HOW TO FOLD THE TREADMILL To avoid damaging the treadmill, to 0 percent before you fold the treadmill. Then, re- move the key and unplug the power cord. CAUTION: You must be able to safely lift 45 Ibs. (20 kg) to raise, lower, or move the treadmill.

EXERCISE INTENSITY Whether your goal is to burn fat or to strengthen your cardiovascular system, exercising at the proper inten- sity is the key to achieving results.
