l When the Meter wor k i n g at an effec t i v e volt age over
60V in DC or 30V rms in AC, speci a l care should be
take n for there is danger of elec t r i c shoc k.
l Use the proper ter m i n a l s, func t i o n, and range for
your measur e m e n t s .
l If the value to be measur e d is unkno w n , use the
maxi m u m measur e m e n t posi ti o n.
l Do not use or store the Meter in an environ m e n t of
high temp er a t u r e, humid i t y, expl osi ve, infla m m a b l e
and stron g magne t i c field. The perfor m a n c e of the
Meter may deter i o r a t e after dampe ne d.
l When using the test leads, keep your fingers behind
the finger guards.
l Disco nne c t cir cu i t pow e r and disch ar g e all high-
vol ta ge capa ci t o r s before testi n g resist a n c e ,
con ti n u i t y, diodes.
l Before measur i n g curre n t , chec k the Meter's fuses
and turn off pow e r to the circ u i t before conne c t i n g
the Meter to the circu i t.
l Repla ce the batt e r y as soon as the batt e r y indic a t o r
appears. With a low batt e r y, the Meter migh t
produ c e false readin gs that can lead to elec t r i c
shoc k and persona l injur y.

l When servi c i n g the Meter, use only the same model
numbe r or identi c a l elec t r i c a l speci f i c a t i o n s
repla ce m e n t parts.
l The intern a l cir cu i t of the Meter shall not be altere d
at wil l to avoid damag e of the Meter and any acci de n t .
l Soft clo th and mild deterg e n t should be used to
clean the surfa c e of the Meter when servi ci n g. No
abrasive and solven t should be used to preven t the
surfa ce of the Meter from corrosio n, damag e and
acci de n t.
l The Meter is suitab l e for indoor use.
l Turn the Meter off when it is not in use and take out
the bat te r y when not using for a long time.
l Constan t l y chec k the batt e r y as it may leak when it
has been using for some ti me, repla ce the batt e r y
as soon as leaki n g appears. A leakin g batt e r y wil l
damag e the Meter.
