Rear Axle Differential Lock
When driving on rugged or muddy roads,
locking the differential case in the rear axle
gearbox will give you the best traction. In
this case, the two rear wheels will be driven
at the same rate. It may not be useful to
lock the differential case after you've lost
traction, because the skid process has
destroyed the soil structure.
lock the differential, the rear wheels may
continue to slip and will not drive the vehicle
ahead.
CAUTION:
The differential case in front axle gearbox
uses friction structure and doesn't have lock
mechanism, so driver don't need to lock up
the differential case.
