LABEL
DESCRIPTION
Classifier(s)
This field displays the active classifier(s) you configure in the Classifier screen.
Select the classifier(s) to which this policy rule applies. To select more than one classifier,
press [SHIFT] and select the choices at the same time.
Parameters
Set the fields below for this policy. You only have to set the field(s) that is related to the action(s) you
configure in the Action field.
General
Egress Port
Type the number of an outgoing port.
Priority
Specify a priority level.
DSCP
Specify a DSCP (DiffServ Code Point) number between 0 and 63.
TOS
Specify the type of service (TOS) priority level.
Metering
You can configure the desired bandwidth available to a traffic flow. Traffic that exceeds the
maximum bandwidth allocated (in cases where the network is congested) is called out-of-
profile traffic.
Bandwidth
You can configure the desired bandwidth available to a traffic flow. Traffic that exceeds the
maximum bandwidth allocated (in cases where the network is congested) is dropped.
Specify the bandwidth in kilobit per second (Kbps). Enter a number between 64 and
1000000.
Out-of-
Specify a new DSCP number (between 0 and 63) if you want to replace or remark the DSCP
Profile
number for out-of-profile traffic.
DSCP
Action
Specify the action(s) the Switch takes on the associated classified traffic flow.
Note: You can specify only one action (pair) in a policy rule. To have the Switch take multiple actions on the
same traffic flow, you need to define multiple classifiers with the same criteria and apply different policy
rules.
Forwarding
Select No change to forward the packets.
Select Discard the packet to drop the packets.
Select Do not drop the matching frame previously marked for dropping to retain the
frames that were marked to be dropped before.
Priority
Select No change to keep the priority setting of the frames.
Select Set the packet's 802.1 priority to replace the frame's 802.1 priority field with the
value you set in the Priority field.
Select Replace the 802.1p priority field with the IP TOS value to replace the frame's
802.1 priority field with the value you set in the TOS field.
Select Replace the 802.1p priority field with the inner 802.1p priority value to
replace the frame's 802.1 priority field with the inner value.
Queue
Select No change to keep the frames in the same queue.
Select Send the packet to priority queue to put the frames in the designated queue.
