4.2 Changing the filter

7. Then reinsert the dust bag holder (Fig. 20/1) into the
dust chamber. Push the guide of the dust bag holder

(Fig. 20/2) straight into the rail provided for this purpose
(Fig. 20/3) to do so, until the interlock for the dust
compartment cover (Fig. 20/4) is folded back.
8. Close the dust chamber cover. It clicks audibly into
place.
NOTE:

The dust chamber cover can only be closed if a dust filter
bag has been inserted.
Your cylinder vacuum cleaner has the following filters:
A protective motor filter (Fig. 21/1) prevents larger
particles from destroying the motor if the dust filter bag is

defective.
Replace: after each 4th change of dust filter bag, at the
latest every 6 months
A hygienic exhaust filter (Fig. 21/2) filters the finest
particles from the blown-out air.
Replace: every 6 months
The filters can become blocked after some time and can

thereby reduce the suction power. It is therefore important
that the abovementioned intervals are adhered to.
On the other hand, replace a damaged filter as soon as
possible.
ATTENTION:
The filters are not washable. The exhaust filter cannot be
re-used.
NOTE:
If it is only slightly dirty, it can also suffice to knock the
protective motor filter over a dustbin. However, we
recommend that you use a new protective motor filter if
you have used 4 dust filter bags (order number
Chapter 8, "Spare parts").
