MEMORY OPERATION
 Memory channel entry
Memory channel entry can be performed either in the
VFO mode or in the Memory mode.
D Entering data in the VFO mode
q Set a desired frequency and operating mode in the
VFO mode.
w Push [CH], then push [UP Y] or [Z DN] several
times to select the desired Memory channel.
• "MEMO" blinks.
• "BLANK" appears if the selected Memory channel is a
blank channel.
e Hold down [MW] for 1 second to program the dis-
played frequency and operating mode into the
Memory channel.
r Push [CH] to exit Memory channel select mode.
D Entering data in the Memory mode
q Select the desired Memory channel by pushing
[UP Y] or [Z DN] in the Memory mode.
• "BLANK" appears if the selected Memory channel is a
blank channel (has no contents).
w Enter the desired frequency and operating mode
in the Memory mode.
• In a blank channel, fi rst directly enter the frequency
using the keypad.
e Hold down [MW] for 1 second to enter the dis-
played frequency and operating mode into the
Memory channel.
• Preamp setting, attenuator ON and OFF, and AGC
settings can also be entered into a Memory channel.
