Remove and Replace the Intake Duct and Intake Fans

The intake duct (340-0914-xx) is located beneath the optical engine. The two intake fans (both: 526-
0103-xx) fasten to the intake duct on both sides of the projection lens. The intake duct routes the air
through the intake filter in the bottom case.
1 Remove the following items:
Top Case (see page 13)
Controller ECA (see page 16)
Optical Engine (see page 34)
2 Remove the three M3x8 self-tapping Phillips screws that fasten the intake duct and fans to the
bottom case.
3 Lift the intake duct from the bottom case.
