LUBRICATION

Alpine:
Lubricate the ski leg at grease fitting until
new grease appears at the joint.
Using a small brush, dipped in low temp
grease, coat the steering arm ball joint
and spring slider cushion.
Using light machine oil, lubricate the
spring located on top of steering col-
umn housing. Allow oil to run in. Oil
the mobile contact point at bottom end
of
steering
arm.
Lubricate
spring
coupler bolt with oil.

tie and/or brake cable and hous-
ings.
Elan:
Lubricate the ski legs at the grease fit-
tings until new grease appears at the
joints. Coat spring slider cushion with
grease. Oil the spring coupler bolts, the
four (4) ball joints and the two (2)
pivots on the main tube of the handle-
bar.
Frequency
Routine maintenance is necessary for all
mechanized products, and the snow-
mobile is no exception. A weekly vehicle
inspection contibutes to the life span of
the snowmobile as well as retains safe
and dependable operation. It is recom-
mended that the steering system and
suspension be lubricated monthly or
every 40 hours of operation. If the vehi-
cle is operated in wet snow or in severe
conditions these items should be lu-
bricated more frequently .

manual. It is recommended that dealer
assistance be periodically obtained on
other components/systems not cov-
ered in this manual. Unless otherwise
specified, engine should be turned OFF
for all lubrication and maintenance pro-
cedures.
