For Manual Recording:
Press ENTER, and then start playing
the recording source.
If there is noise while recording from
the tuner, reposition the respective
antenna to reduce the noise.
For Sound Mixing:
Press ENTER, and then start playing
the source and start singing or
speaking into the microphone.
Adjust the microphone volume by
turning MIC LEVEL.
After you have finished, turn MIC
LEVEL to MIN.
If acoustic feedback (howling) occurs,
reduce the volume, move the
microphone away from the speakers,
or change the direction of the
microphone.
To stop recording
Press x.
Notes
• You cannot eject the disc during CD-TAPE
Synchro Recording.
• If you connect or disconnect a microphone or
headphone during recording, the sound may
cut off for a moment.
• Tape recording is disabled while the disc tray
is open.
Tip
Distortion may occur when you record from
your optional component connected to the
VIDEO (AUDIO IN) jack. In this case, connect
it to the PC IN jack.

Creating your own
sound effect
You can adjust the sound by raising or
lowering the level of specific frequency
band, then store up to three user equalizer
settings in the memory.

Press EQ BAND/MEMORY
repeatedly to select a frequency
band or surround effect.

Turn OPERATION DIAL to adjust
the level or select the surround
effect you want.
Frequency level
CD
GROOVE
ALL DISC

Repeat steps 1 and 2 to adjust
the level of other frequency
bands and surround effect.

Press ENTER.
A user equalizer number flashes in the
display.

Turn OPERATION DIAL to select
a user equalizer number (1~3)
you want to store the equalizer
setting.
Select "EXIT?" to cancel storing.

Press ENTER.
This setting is automatically stored as
the user equalizer setting you selected
in step 5.
The previous setting stored at this
memory location is erased and
replaced by the new setting.
