POSSIBLE CAUSES
1 The flash mode was
set to the Fill-in flash
mode.
2 The subject was
excessively illuminated.
1 The flash was blocked
by a finger.
2 The subject was out of
the working range of
the flash.
3 The flash mode was
set to the Off mode.
4 The subject was too
small and was backlit.
5 The sequential mode
was used.
The colors of pictures taken indoors look unnatural.
1 Indoor lighting can
affect the picture's
colors.
2 There is no white in the
subject.
3 The white balance
setting is wrong.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
The picture is too bright.
1 Select a flash mode other
than the Fill-in flash mode.
2 Adjust the exposure
compensation or change the
camera position toward the
subject.
The picture is too dark.
1 Hold the camera correctly,
keeping your fingers away
from the flash.
2 Shoot within the flash
working range.
3 Press the flash switch to
raise the flash.
4 Set the flash to Fill-In mode. Or,
use the spot metering mode.
5 Higher shutter speeds are
used when the sequential
mode is selected which may
result in pictures that are
darker than usual.
1 Set the white balance
according to the lighting.
2 Try to include something
white in the picture or shoot
using the Fill-in flash mode.
3 Adjust the white balance to
the light source.
