Is Your ATV Ready to Ride?
If you are carrying cargo, also check the following:
Loading Limits
Cargo
Check these items after you get on the ATV:
Throttle
Brakes
Reverse Assist Lever
Make sure you do not exceed the load
limits (page 68).
Check that all cargo is secure.
Check the freeplay and adjust if needed.
Press the throttle to make sure it moves
smoothly without sticking, and snaps shut
automatically when it is released, in all
steering positions (page 159).
Squeeze the front and rear brake levers
and step on the rear brake pedal to check
that the controls operate normally. Check
for proper freeplay (page 175,177). Make
sure there is no brake fluid leakage
(page 172).
Check the freeplay and adjust if needed
(page 162). Make sure the lever operates
smoothly without sticking.
