Front Panel Overview
Display and Soft Buttons
Display and Soft Buttons
The 480 x 272 pixel color display provides the main user interface for the Forte. The buttons
immediately below the display are the soft buttons and their functions change depending upon
what screen is displayed. The functions of the soft buttons on each screen are described in
the bottom row of the display.
Sliders and Buttons
In Program Mode, the sliders and buttons are used to control various Program parameters (the
last four sliders and buttons are typically used for controlling effects). When KB3 Programs
are being played, the sliders and buttons control organ functions labeled in blue. In Multi
Mode, the first four sliders and buttons control Multi Zone volumes and Zone Mutes.

LED Ladders

The LED Ladders show the current value of the slider. When you change Programs or Multis
that value of the slider may differ from the physical position of the slider.
Category Buttons and Number Pad
These buttons are used for navigating categories in Program Mode, and for entering numbers
in various places. Generally the Forte automatically adjusts what these buttons will be used
for, but in cases where there are two entry methods available, the mode of the buttons can be
changed with the Keypad button. Programs can be selected by Category, or after pressing the
Keypad Button, by typing in the ID number.

Favorites Buttons

The Favorites buttons can be programmed to immediately take you to your Favorite Programs
and Multis. To assign the currently selected Program or Multi to a Favorites button, press and
hold the desired Favorites button for a few seconds until the display indicates that the Favorite
has been saved.
Cheek Block Controls
The Cheek Block has a Pitch Wheel, Modulation Wheel, Tap Tempo button, Variation Button
and Transpose buttons, as well as the headphone connector.
