HEARTY CHILI
Easy, quick, satisfying, and very versatile.
1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. ground cumin

tsp. paprika

1 bay leaf
1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes, with juices
4 oz. tomato sauce
Garnishes include: chopped red or green onions, chopped fresh cilantro, grated Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheeses,
and sour cream.
1. In skillet, add olive oil and sauté onions over medium heat until tender.
Mix in garlic powder, marjoram, cumin, cayenne, and paprika. Set
mixture aside in small bowl. In same skillet, add ground beef, chicken
or turkey and cook, stirring frequently until meat is cooked through.
Mix in bay leaf, salt and pepper to taste, tomatoes, broth and tomato
sauce.
2. Transfer mixture to INNER POT, cover and set to "COOK" Mode.
When unit switches to "KEEP WARM" Mode, after about 1 hour, mix in
beans, using enclosed RICE LADLE ladle or a wooden spoon.
3. Return LID to Rice Cooker and cook for about 30 additional minutes.
4. Serve chili hot with desired garnishes.
