Using In-Call Features
You must subscribe to this network feature through
your service provider(s).
Note: This feature behaves differently based your
mode. Check your mode settings before using this
feature. See "Selecting a Mode" on page 169.
If you have subscribed to Call Waiting, you must first
activate it through the Options Menu (see
page 113). After you activate it, you are notified of
incoming calls while you are on the line in two ways.
When a call comes in, you hear a beep and see the
message
Call Waiting
If you want to...
accept the waiting call
reject the waiting call
end current call before
answering the waiting
call
You may see one of the following messages during
call waiting activities:
Message
Trying
Hold
Failed
Cannot Hold
Second Call
Reconnect
Failed
Busy
Try Later
followed by
Then...

.
Press
Your current call is placed on
hold.
C
.
Press
M
Press
1.
End Active Call?
O
Press
2.
rings and can now be
answered normally.
Description
Your phone is attempting to switch
between the current and held call.
The attempt to hold a call was
unsuccessful.
A call is already on hold. You can
only place one call on hold.
The held call could not be made
active again.
Your phone is working on a
previous command. Wait a short
time before repeating the new
command.
