CAMSHAFT

Tools Required
KM-565-A Valve Spring Compressor
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the timing belt. Refer to "Timing Belt" in this
section.
2. Disconnect the air breather tube at the valve cover.
3. Remove the valve cover bolts.
4. Remove the valve cover.
5. Remove the valve cover gasket.

6. Install the valve spring compressor KM-565-A.
Notice: Take extreme care to prevent any scratches,
nicks, or damage to the camshaft. Such damage can im-
pair vehicle operation.
7. Remove the camshaft followers using the valve
spring compressor KM-565-A.

8. While holding the camshaft firmly in place, remove
the camshaft gear bolt.
9. Remove the camshaft gear.
