Fuel System Emergencies

High Fuel Flow

FUEL FLOW Warning
Fuel flow greater than 30 GPH.
On-Ground
1. Correct prior to flight.
In-Flight
1. Mixture .............................................................................. ADJUST
Adjust engine operation to correct condition. Check engine
instruments to verify HIGH FLOW Warning is not erroneous, i.e.
abnormal engine temperatures or engine roughness after mixture
adjustment.
If FUEL FLOW Warning does not extinguish:
2. Land as soon as practical.

Low Fuel Quantity

FUEL QTY Warning
1. Fuel Quantity Gages .......................................................... CHECK
If fuel quantity indicates less than or equal to 9 gallons:
a. If On-Ground ..............................REFUEL PRIOR TO FLIGHT
b. If In-Flight ........................... LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICAL
If fuel quantity indicates more than 9 gallons:
a. If On-Ground .......................... CORRECT PRIOR TO FLIGHT
b. If In-Flight ........................................... CONTINUE, MONITOR
Amplification
Fuel Totalizer quantity less than or equal to 9 gallons.
