The vehicle stability control system au-
tomatically turns off, and the "VSC
OFF"
indicator
light
is
illuminated,
when either one of the following condi-
tions applies:
The transfer is set into "HL" or "LL"
D
position.
(full−time
four−wheel
models)
The transfer is set into "H4" or "L4"
D
position.
(part−time
four−wheel
models)
The rear differential is locked. (vehicles
D
with rear differential lock)
The "VSC OFF" indicator light comes on
for a few seconds when the ignition key
is turned to "ON", and then turns off. If
either one of the above conditions applies,
the indicator light is illuminated again.
The "VSC OFF" indicator light comes on
for a few seconds when the ignition key
is turned to "ON". It will come on again
when you push the center differential lock
switch to turn off the system.
In the following cases, contact your Toyota
dealer:
The indicator light does not come on
D
when the ignition key is turned to
"ON".
The indicator light remains on after the
D
ignition key is turned to "ON".
The indicator light comes on when the
D
system is on while driving.
