Setting the TV audio properly

With either an optical or stereo audio connection, the
internal speakers on your TV speaker should be turned off.
This allows you to hear the audio from your TV (and any
sources connected to it) through your CineMate
For a TV with an onscreen audio menu:
Use the TV remote for access to this menu.
• If the menu includes an option for Fixed or Variable audio
output, select Fixed.
• If the menu includes an option for turning the TV
speakers on or off, select Off.
• If there is no menu option for turning off the TV speakers,
turn the TV volume control to its lowest setting.
Using a headphone output from your TV
Use this type of connection only if your TV has neither an
optical output nor stereo audio output.
The headphone output may have the symbol
or be labeled HEADPHONES or PHONES.
This requires a ¼" (3.5 mm)-to-stereo RCA
cable, available at most electronics stores.
1. Insert the ¼" (3.5 mm) plug into headphone
connector on the TV.
