Receiving Messages

If your phone is ON and you receive a Voicemail,
Alert, or alphanumeric message:
An alert sounds or vibrates:
Your phone will beep or vibrate three times.
See Ringer / Vibrating Alert on page 76 to set your phone's alert.
See page 79 to learn about Reminder Tones.
An indicator appears on the display:
Appears on the second line of the display when you receive
an alphanumeric message. It will stay on the display until you
have read the message.
Appears when your phone's message memory is
Msg Mem Low
almost full (at approximately 85% capacity).
Appears in the main display when the message
Msg Mem Full
memory is completely full and your phone is in idle mode.
Appears on the second line of the display when you receive a
Voicemail message. It will stay on the display until you have
listened to the message. Your Service Provider will then signal
your phone to turn the indicator OFF.

to open the Messaging Menu:
When you open the Messaging Menu, the icon of the message
type you received will be flashing.
