General use
Problem
The unit does not work.
I cannot hear a dial tone.
The communication
between the base unit and
the handset is unstable.
The indicator on the top
right of the handset flashes
slowly.
Programmable settings
Problem
I cannot program items.
I cannot set the alarm.
Cause/solution
L Make sure the battery is installed correctly and
fully charged (page 10).
L Check the connections (page 9).
L Unplug the base unit's AC adaptor to reset the
unit. Reconnect the adaptor and try again.
L The handset has not been registered to the
base unit. Register the handset (page 45).
L Confirm the telephone line cord is properly
connected (page 9).
L Disconnect the unit from the telephone line and
connect a known working telephone. If the
working telephone operates properly, contact
our service personnel to have the unit repaired.
If the working telephone does not operate
properly, contact your service provider/
telephone company.
L The handset may not be properly registered. Try
to re-register the handset (page 45).
L New messages have been recorded. Listen to
the new messages (page 29).
L New Voice Mail messages have been recorded.
Listen to the new Voice Mail messages (page
34).
Cause/solution
L Programming is not possible while either the
base unit or another handset is being used. Try
again later.
L In order to set the alarm, you must first set the
date and time (page 13).
L The handset has lost communication with the
base unit. Move closer to the base unit, and try
again.
