10.1. Main IH Cooktop Unit
1. Remove the main IH cooktop unit from the cabinet (Built-
in type).
• If the top plate has been bonded to the counter with seal-
ant tape (Sealing tape A), remove the tape with a plastic
spatula, taking care not to damage the counter.

10.2. Top plate
1. Remove the screws B (9 pcs for KY-B84BX/B84BG,
7 pcs for KY-B64BX/KYB64BG).
Screw B: Panhead Deltite screw 4+10
The screws marked with "*" do not exist on KY-B64BX/
B64BG.
2. Lift the top plate.
Note:
(1)There are stays on the backside of the Top Plate Ass'y.
Lift the Top Plate Ass'y straight upward.
(2)When replacing the Top Plate Ass'y, apply the supplied
Silicon fluid compounds to the Thermistor.
(3)Even if replacing the Top Plate is not necessary, apply
the surplus Silicon fluid compounds to the Thermistor
one more time.
(4)When the Silicon fluid compound on the Thermistor is
hardened, apply the supplementary Silicon fluid com-
pounds (YF27-001).
